The Martinez-Alesanco family has made fine wines from their vineyards in Rioja for many generations. This classically elegant wine was made with 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha grapes that were aged in American oak barrels for 12 months and then rested in the bottle for an additional 12 months before release. It has a high aromatic, fruity nose, red and black berries with hints of vanilla, chocolate and licorice that blend with fine, smoky final notes for a delicious long palate.
Great pairing’s are with red meats especially beef, lamb, most barbeque and cheeses.
Serve at 16-18ºC
