The Martinez-Alesanco family has made fine wines from their vineyards in Rioja for many generations. The family’s current generation of wine makers made this wine to illustrate how wonderful a Rioja Gran Reserva wine can be. It is made from magical vintages of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha grapes that are aged in French and American oak barrels for 36 months and then rested in the bottle for 6 years until perfection.
It has a high intense and complex aromatic nose, ripe red berries wrapped in some fine roasted aromas. It is a very elegant wine with a long aftertaste and a full range of flavors that invite you to enjoy.
Great pairing’s are with beef, roasted lamb, game meat and pure chocolate.
