In 2005, at the age of 23, Juan Antonio Ponce became the winemaker for his family owned winery. Ponce’s family has worked with vines for generations and consequently he feels profoundly connected to his native soil. He has found a way of extracting all the greatness offered by the Bobal grape grown in his native soil, Cuenca. He works biodynamically in the vineyard and in the winery takes a natural approach, using low levels of sulfites. His wines are honest, echoing the character of their individual plots, all of which are cultivated under the principles of biodynamics.
